Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

About ‘HEAVENLY BIRD IIb’ by Pia Schneider

3. HEAVENLY BIRD IIb
In this version, I have significantly altered the sky texture – the clouds here take on a structure and mood all of their own, giving the familiar motif a noticeably new atmospheric depth.
About the story: This work tells of longing, freedom and peace. I have created surreal, abstract, almost luminous cloud textures in soft whites, blues and yellows – a heavenly backdrop that hovers between dream and reality. Superimposed on this is an old bird print from a natural history copperplate engraving dating from around 1860 (in the public domain, from the collection of The Graphics Fairy), depicting a bird perched on a twig – which I have incorporated into my own artistic style.

Modern mixed media techniques (collage, no AI).

I love the sea with all its moods, the quiet gazes of our cats, the blossoming of nature and the quiet poetry of forgotten places. This is what inspires my artwork – whether painted, drawn, photographed, as a collage or a print. Sometimes abstract and powerful, sometimes delicate and botanical, sometimes playful and fantastical, just like our tomcat NOCSI.
Many of my works tell a personal story, such as my ‘Heavenly Birds’ project, which came about during a time of…
