The Grouse is a grouse-like bird, about the size of a pheasant.
In spring, males gather in groups, especially in moor and heathland areas, to courtship at dawn. The sound they make is a chime. During the day, they often rest in birch trees to eat buds. In the Netherlands, it is very rare. Occurs mainly in northern Europe.
