The inspiration for this work came from observing natural processes - in particular the way liquids behave in space when they encounter resistance. Green as a colour stands for growth, renewal and balance. I wanted to capture these associations in a calm yet dynamic image.
The atmosphere is deliberately calm and meditative. The picture invites you to engage with the movement and the slow decay of the form. It conveys a feeling of inner balance, but also of change - like a moment of pause between two states.
This work has a particularly harmonious effect in interior design. It blends well into natural, light-coloured rooms and brings a subtle depth with it.
