This picture depicts a walking path at Paleochora, an abandoned village on the Greek island of Aegina. Paleochora served as the capital of Aegina island for nearly a millennium. Though abandoned for the last 200 years, the site of Paleochora is a must not only for its historical significance but also for its architectural and natural beauty. Today about the remains of about 30 churches still stand and can be visited by tourists.
To depict the dreamy atmosphere of spring, only bright colours were put down using palette knives and brush (acrylic paint).
