Greek McDonnell Douglas F-4E Phantom II. registration: 01510. By now a rare sight, the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II. Greece still has a limited number of these fighters in service. By 2027 at the latest, the Greek Air Force will say goodbye to the last Phantoms. The F-4 Phantom has a long history. The first aircraft (prototype) made its maiden flight in 1958. In total, nearly 5,200 aircraft have been built. This picture was taken on 6 November 2015 at Greece's Tanagra airbase.
