Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

About ‘Golden silence in the moment of enlightenment’ by Walter G. Allgöwer

A golden Buddha sits at the tranquil centre of this hall, as if he himself were the breath that holds the space together. The Bhumispara-Mudra, the gesture of touching the earth, rests in his hand like a gentle flash of enlightenment – that moment when Gautama touched the truth and the world was transformed. The tunic of shimmering gold falls in soft lines over his body, as if light itself were coalescing into fabric.
Yet around him rises not traditional temple architecture, but an art gallery, filled with works that follow the path of modernism: minimalism, abstraction, forms that dissolve, lines that refuse to be anything concrete. Amidst these quiet experiments of the present, the Buddha appears like an anchor of timelessness, a heart of both past and future.
His countenance remains impassive, yet the air seems to shift, as if his presence were casting the modern works in a different light. Perhaps it is this contrast – the eternal in dialogue with the fleeting – that makes the space resonate. And so he sits there, in Wat Sitthawararam in Bangkok, a golden witness to enlightenment, transforming even the boldest lines of modernity into a gentle stillness.
