About ‘Golden Hour – The Berlin TV Tower silhouetted against the setting sun’ by Sven Hilscher

An impressive low-angle view of what is arguably Berlin’s most famous landmark – the TV Tower on Alexanderplatz. The dramatic low-angle shot shows the iconic steel colossus rising majestically into the deep, dark evening sky, lending the image an almost surreal power and depth.

The distinctive steel sphere, with its geometric triangular pattern, dominates the image and fills the frame completely. A precisely captured sunburst breaks through the sphere’s façade in golden hues, bathing the entire scene in a warm, dramatic backlight – the massive concrete shaft glows in rich golden tones, whilst the sphere stands out against it in a cool, silvery sheen.

The red-and-white-striped antenna tip juts sharply into the dark teal-blue sky, with fine cirrus clouds delicately silhouetted against the background. The interplay of geometric precision, golden light and dramatic perspective makes this photograph a powerful statement on architecture, light and the unmistakable identity of the German capital.

An image that polarises, fascinates and captivates the eye – typical Berlin. Mood: Dramatic · Powerful · Golden · Iconic Suitable for: Large-format print · Wall art · Poster · Architectural photography · Berlin souvenir · Interior design 🎯
