About "Golden Hour: A Porsche 917 Study"

About the artwork

In creating this piece, my goal was to capture more than just a car; I wanted to distill a moment of pure, unadulterated speed and light. This Porsche 917 painting is a tribute to an icon, a machine that represents the pinnacle of vintage motorsports. I chose the golden hour to bathe the scene in a warm, nostalgic glow, where the light catches the car’s fluid lines and the dust kicked up from its tires. Every brushstroke is meant to convey motion—the blur of the track, the raw power of the engine, the feeling of the car pushing the very limits of adhesion as it carves through the corner.

This is not just vintage race car art; it is an emotional landscape. I wanted the viewer to feel the warmth of the setting sun and hear the echo of the flat-twelve engine. It's a connection to a legendary era of racing, a frozen fragment of time where design and driver skill converged in perfect harmony. My hope is that this artwork transports you to that moment, to feel the energy and passion of golden hour motorsport, and to appreciate the enduring beauty of the Porsche 917 in its natural element.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
