My camera always goes with me wherever I go. In San Francisco, that took me to Marshal's Beach, a place known for its impressive view of the Golden Gate Bridge. From the rocky shore, I had a beautiful perspective: the bridge rising powerfully above the surf, with the hills of Marin County in the background.
It was a day when the weather told its own story. Dark clouds gathered over the bay, creating a dramatic atmosphere. Especially in black and white, these contrasts come out beautifully: the rough rocks, the flowing movement of the water and the elegant lines of the bridge.
I waited for the moment when the sky and sea worked together to create just the right balance. With a slower shutter speed, I caught the movement of the waves, creating a soft glow over the water. This created a photograph in which tranquillity and dynamism reinforce each other.
In post-processing, I subtly turned up the contrasts to make the photo as close as possible to what I felt there: the power of nature, the grandeur of architecture and the serene stillness of Marshal's Beach.
For me, this work is more than a photograph, it is a memory of a unique moment when everything exactly fell together.
