"Goldberry (Physalis) opens in the dark" is a macro photo of a Goldberry (this fruit is also called pineapple cherry or Physalis peruviana) where the dried shell has partially opened. This allows you to see the beautiful vein structure of the skin (partly enhanced by the lighting).
This Goldberry lies on a background with a wavy structure in it, giving the reflection of the Goldberry an abstract and almost painterly appearance. The background and ground have a dark colour, which is partly blended due to the texture. If you zoom in on the work, this is easy to see. In this picture, the colour has been pulled back a little, creating a natural calmer atmosphere.
The orange berry hidden in the casing is partly visible. This one is still beautifully intact and has not yet dried out, giving you a nice contrast between the casing and the berry. But a greater contrast is created by the light Goldberry against the dark background. This makes the Goldberry stand out nicely.
This work could, for example, hang beautifully as a wall decoration in the kitchen or dining room. Also beautiful in business locations such as on the wall in a restaurant, café, waiting room or practice room!
