About ‘Ginkgo Study II’ by Prikkebeen's Emporium

A ginkgo, but not as you know it.

In nature, the ginkgo leaf is a true loner: the last remaining branch of an ancient botanical lineage and a symbol of strength, growth and perseverance. In this work, that symbolism takes on a new form, constructed from thousands of carefully placed dots.

Soft transitions create a sense of calm, whilst the rhythm of the dotwork maintains its movement the longer you look. The repetitive, almost meditative process of working dot by dot perfectly aligns with the meaning of the ginkgo: patience, balance and quiet strength.

Anyone familiar with my tattoo work will recognise the style immediately. Since 2020, ginkgos have formed an important part of my work. This piece feels like an extension of that, not on the skin, but on the wall.

The second in a series, a continuation of my Ginkgo club.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
