In Harlingen, I found this jaw of a shark on the wall in restaurant Sara,near the harbour. Of course I took a picture of it, and then edited it into a black-and-white print in the grainy style of M.C. Escher's work. Terrifying and atmospheric at the same time.
Although working as a lyrical chronicler, sometimes I see things that are not there; I photograph and edit them.
Recurring elements are: carved mannequins (humanoids) and anonymous 19th century paintings. Working from 100cm I come to sign (Nl only)...
