Gentle Bloom – a modern abstract portrait of a woman by Bianca ter Riet

I think ‘Zachte Bloei’ works better here than a literal title. It refers both to the flower-like shapes and to the soft, feminine aura.
SEO description
‘Zachte Bloei’ is a modern abstract portrait of a woman, centred on her figure seen from behind. Her elegant silhouette is surrounded by soft, organic shapes reminiscent of blooming flowers and flowing fabric. The woman seems almost to blend into her surroundings, creating an atmospheric and dreamlike whole.
The artwork is composed of warm shades of terracotta, peach, dusky pink, nude, burgundy and soft earth tones. The transparent areas of colour and loose, expressive lines give the painting a light and almost translucent quality. The red lines subtly trace the contours of the female body, creating movement and tension within the image.
This modern abstract portrait of a woman is not about a recognisable face, but about the woman’s form, posture and aura. It is precisely because we see her from behind that her identity remains hidden. This lends the artwork a mysterious and timeless atmosphere.
The flower-like shapes surrounding the woman enhance the sense of femininity, beauty, softness and natural growth. Figurative and abstract elements come together in a painterly composition in which the forms almost seem to move.
This modern artwork makes a wonderful piece of contemporary wall art in an interior featuring warm neutral colours, pink, terracotta, beige or earth tones. It is ideal for lovers of art depicting women, abstract portraits of women, floral art and contemporary painting.
I find inspiration in women, their aura and the beauty of flowing shapes and colours.
