The small streets behind the Zandvoort beach are called "sloppies". They are home for the old fisherman cottages and some villas.
There, you can find the Gasthuishofje. This historic building finished in 1946-1947 was the first structure in the Zandvoort Reconstruction Plan after the WWII.
Inside, there's 27 houses built for the old residents that had their houses destroyed during the war.
