Kaliningrad is located in the historic region of East Prussia and was part of Germany until 1945. After 1945 Kaliningrad came into the hands of the Soviet Union. Since the disintegration of the Soviet Union in 1991, this area has been an exclave of Russia, wedged between Poland and Lithuania.
The city is located on the coast of the Baltic Sea. On this picture we see a modern part of the city which has been built for tourism, the so-called "Fischdorf".
I got my first camera on my 8th birthday. Now, many cameras later, I have ended up with a 'full-frame' mirrorless camera and my passion for photography has become an important part of my life.
