About ‘Evening Winter Mood in Norway’ by Adelheid Smitt

The picture was taken in northern Norway, near the city of Tromsø. It is the middle of winter and the sun has already set at 1400 hours. Then the mountains begin to glow in the evening light. This is due to the reflection of snow crystals in the air. This gives the very special color and atmosphere to this view.
