I arranged to meet up with a good friend for a pleasant photography/ hiking day and low and behold, when I arrived hoarfrost covered the fields, the trees in the meadows with their branches covered in frost looked like fragile filigree. It is one of those days that you cherish all your life, not because of the pictures you get, but for being given te opportunity to witness a scene like this. It looked like a winter fairytale and it was almost too much to take in, because where do you start when everything is looking so enchanting? We knew the sun would probably burn away the hoarfrost as soon as it was strong enough, so this was a fleeting moment of magic and we wanted to make the most of it. This is one of my favourite pictures of the day.
