About ‘From Sea to Summit’ by Thea

From Sea to Summit depicts a fluid journey from water to altitude. Along a vertical axis, stylised ocean waves gradually transform into abstract mountain contours. The transition is seamless and calm, as if sea and mountain are two expressions of the same form. Movement slowly becomes stability.

Inspired by Hokusai's iconic wave style, the work combines traditional influences with a contemporary, minimalist approach. Soft, flowing lines lead the eye upwards, giving the image a natural cadence. Subtle colour gradients enhance the sense of continuity, ensuring that no element ends or begins abruptly.

The abstract language of form leaves room for interpretation. The sea is not literal, the mountain not definite. Instead, the work revolves around rhythm, balance and direction. The subdued use of colour and elegant composition create a serene atmosphere that invites stillness.

From Sea to Summit is about growth, transition and cohesion. It shows how contrasts - fluid and solid, low and high - can complement each other. The image invites the viewer to follow the journey, from depth to summit, and find a moment of rest and reflection in it.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
