Friendly Sparrows on a Branch Part Two is a portrait-format watercolour painting hand-painted by the artist Karen Kaspar.

A delicate watercolour painting depicts a female sparrow sitting gracefully on a branch and looking cheerfully to the left. The background is abstract in design with bright splashes of colour in pink, orange and blue, creating a lively and dynamic atmosphere. The bright colours accentuate the female sparrow’s plumage and highlight the bird’s delicate features.

Perhaps the songbird is perched in a garden in a tree with bright blossoms in spring, or against a colourful sky in the morning or evening. This painting is part of my small series of three watercolours, each depicting a sparrow on a branch against a colourful background.
Each of these paintings can be hung on its own. However, the three pictures can also be combined perfectly to form a triptych and hung together on a wall to create a gathering of sparrows.

I have also uploaded a cropped version of each picture in a modern square format to my shop, with a stronger focus on the birds. This means you can choose what best suits the rooms and walls in your home or office.

The inspiration for this series of watercolour paintings of house sparrows comes from my garden. The sparrows like to sit in our hedge and have a natter. The photos I took served as inspiration for my paintings.
