Crocuses are the 1 of the first flowers to bloom after a cold spell of winter.
They are small and cope well with the cold in spring.
Beautiful shades of purple and yellow are the colours of these flowers.
You can see them emerging in gardens and lawns when the first sun shows up again in spring.
This crocus was taken with a macro lens so that only the head of the flower is visible.
There are raindrops and dewdrops on the leaves, giving this little flower a beautifully fresh look.
The colours have been creatively worked into a metallic purple colour so that there is a great contrast with the background. The flower's core pistil has remained yellow to create a contrast with the flower.
Besides my work as a nurse, photography is a hobby with which I can enjoy myself for hours.
So in my allotment garden and in nature I am often photographing between all those cheerful colours, plants, flowers, all kinds of small insects and there are beautiful butterflies.
