French Navy's Breguet Br. 1150 Atlantic.
The Breguet Br.1150 Atlantic is a long-range maritime patrol aircraft designed and manufactured by French aircraft manufacturer Breguet Aviation.
For a long time, the Atlantic was the only aircraft designed specifically for maritime patrol duties (the US P-3 Orion and the British Nimrod were based on civilian aircraft). The Atlantic's prototype was flying as early as 1961. A European consortium, which included Fokker, built parts for the aircraft.
A distinctive feature of the aircraft is its double fuselage. The upper part is the crew compartment, while the lower part consists of a hold equipped with anti-submarine weapons and with facilities for ejecting rescue equipment and sonar buoys.
