About ‘Fragments of beauty’ by Arjen Roos

Based on my work 'Vintage Portrait' this work features a stunning red-haired beauty.

This artwork is intriguing and immediately grabs attention. It plays with visual perception by dividing the portrait into a grid of shifted tiles, creating a dynamic and almost three-dimensional effect. The warm tones of the subject's red hair and vivid green eyes offer a beautiful contrast to the dark and mysterious background. It appears to be an exploration of identity and complexity, with the different parts of the face and shoulders coming together to form a harmonious whole, despite the fragmentation.

Each piece of this composition is in itself a work of art, a silent witness to beauty in its purest form. Like polaroids of a forgotten album, they show us the details we often overlook. But together they form the portrait of a young lady whose fiery hair and piercing eyes tell a story beyond the individual images.
