I took this beautiful photo of a flower bud 'with morning drop' of a red horse chestnut in autumn last year at the Arboretum in Oudenbosch.
Its Latin name is Aesculus x Carnea.
During flowering, many red-coloured flowers are arranged in an upright plume that resembles a candlestick.
I took this photo on assignment for the Arboretum and the picture was on the December cover of their magazine.
