About "Floating purple maple leaf on bizarre flowers in the Botanical Garden"

About the artwork

I took this floral, delicate autumn scene with purple maple leaf on delicate flower in the golden autumn light on the afternoon of 16 October 2018 in the Botanical People's Park Blankenfelde-Pankow.
The beautiful, autumnal image motif with purple leaves and magnificent, wild flowers in the golden, warm autumn light lends a pleasantly warm, colourful mood to any living or working space. This photo was taken with the Nikon D90.

The significance of leaf colours for the Iroquois:
In the mythology of the Iroquois, the colours of the Indian summer have a special meaning. The yellow leaves symbolise the fires of the spirits, while the red leaves are drenched in the blood of the bear that the heavenly hunters have slain. However, the indigenous population only told themselves such stories in winter. For summer was reserved for work. And whoever violated this law was punished by the invisible nature spirits Jo-ga-oh.
