Flamingos are monogamous and have a long-standing pair bond. When the breeding season arrives, a special courtship ritual begins. All flamingos - and there may be thousands of them together - walk together in a "group parade", turning their heads to the left and right and stretching their wings. In this way, the couples confirm their pair bond.
