Lake Grevelingen, located between South Holland and Zeeland, has become a surprising home to flamingos. These graceful pink birds, normally found in warmer regions, have been visiting the area since the 1980s. Especially during the winter months, they perch at Battenoord's saltwater lakes, an ideal spot thanks to the nutrient-rich water and mild climate.
Applying a long shutter time brings out the flamingo's typical movements even more beautifully.
