Along France's Atlantic coast you will find 'carrelets'. Wooden sheds on a jetty on high legs. Attached to them is a square fishing net that is lowered into the sea at high tide to just below the surface. When fish swim above, the net is hauled up. This is called "peche au carrelets" . Carrelet is plaice but the cottages are also called so. The cottages are very photogenic, especially with backlighting. This one was on the coast near Marsilly. Travelling along the French coast, we came across them by chance, what a photogenic surprise.
