Fishing poles in the low water on the Wadden Sea. Below you can still see the basalt stones of the pier, where the nets were placed. The water was smooth, and calm. Only the tide was coming in and the water was rising, so you could see a current along the poles of the nets. A slightly longer shutter speed gives the water an even calmer look. The fishing poles are centered in the photo. And because of the current, the clouds and the foam, your eye is drawn to the center. It is around sunset. There are some clouds in the sky. It was a very serene evening. The photo was taken on the Wadden Sea near Roptazijl (Friesland, The Netherlands), in May 2022.
