This artwork shows an unusual scene: a fisherman hauling in his catch, but everything is made up of metal parts. The fisherman is made up of hinges, tubes and bolts that together form a stylised figure. The fishing rod bends gracefully, while the caught fish sparkles with detail. From scales composed of nuts to fins formed by metal plates. Even the stones on which the fisherman stands look like rusty debris from an old junkyard.

The use of colour combines warm rust tones with a weathered turquoise background, evoking a tough but also playful atmosphere. The work looks industrial and robust, but at the same time humorous because of the way an everyday scene like fishing is translated into metal and recycling.

It looks as if someone went past the scrap yard to collect as many parts as possible and puzzled away until this scene came into being. Not everything had to look perfectly real; it is precisely the creative freedom that makes the artwork unique.
