Two F-16 fighter jets from Florennes Air Base. The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-engine multi-purpose jet fighter which has been in wide use since 1979. In The Netherlands and Belgium it was the successor of the F-104 Starfighter. In Belgium, the F-16 also replaced the Mirage 5. In the Netherlands, the F-5 was also replaced by the F-16. The aircraft was designed by General Dynamics. The factory of General Dynamics was taken over by Lockheed Martin.
