The great thing about winter in Sweden is that the beautiful colours of sunrise blend almost seamlessly into the fiery play of colours of sunset. We were on our way back from a cabin where we had made a fire for the famous "grillkorv", a kind of crispy sausage for grilling. The sky slowly turned into the flames of the fire. I was struck by the silhouettes of the trees against the orange sky. The remnants of snow under the trees add just a little more detail to the foreground, and the blue shadow colours of that snow contrast again with the orange-red colour of the clouds.
