About the artwork

In the midst of the blossoming Loretto meadows near Oberstdorf, an old signpost to heaven rises majestically - a modest field cross with the sublime figure of Christ. The warm spring light envelops the wooden cross, while the delicate flowers all around adorn the earth in a bright carpet of colour. The gentle hills of the Allgäu stretch out into an endless expanse, crowned by the sublime presence of the Gaisalphorn, 1953 metres high.
In the background, the majestic Nebelhorn with its proud 2224 metres, the Schattenberg at 1845 metres and the sublime Riefenkopf at 1750 metres tower into the cloudless sky. This imposing backdrop of the Allgäu Alps creates a scenery that fills the soul with awe. The clear spring air carries the sweet scent of blooming alpine flowers and transports the senses into a state of harmony.
The sight of this idyllic spot in the heart of Bavaria allows your thoughts to wander into the distance, while you can hear the murmur of the nearby mountain stream. The cross at the edge of the path is a reminder that even in the midst of the sublime nature of the Allgäu, spiritual peace and the connection to divine creation are always present. It is an ode to spring, to the beauty of creation and to the profound connection between heaven and earth that is so tangible in this place.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
