The Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 is a racing variant of Ferrari’s celebrated 458 Italia, developed by Michelotto to compete in GT3-spec championships worldwide. Introduced in 2011, it replaced the 430 Scuderia GT3. Built on Ferrari’s mid-engine platform, the 458 GT3 uses a naturally aspirated 4.5-liter V8, tuned to meet GT3 regulations, producing around 550 horsepower depending on Balance of Performance adjustments. Power is delivered through a sequential six-speed racing gearbox with paddle shifters.
The car’s lightweight aluminum chassis and extensive use of carbon fiber reduce weight to roughly 1,250 kg, optimizing agility and handling. Aerodynamics are heavily revised compared to the road car, with a large rear wing, aggressive front splitter, diffuser, and wide stance, ensuring maximum downforce and stability on track. Inside, the 458 GT3 is stripped for racing efficiency, featuring a FIA-approved roll cage, race seats, and advanced telemetry systems.
