This super-fast car is the Ferrari 250 GTO. It was introduced in 1960, and since that time it has won many races including the Monaco Grand Prix. The most striking feature of this car is the flat roof. All the other models in the series were based on the body line of the 250 GTO. However, it retained its basic design.
Though its basic design is similar to that of other cars in the series, it also has some unique features like the twin side glass "sand-cut" windows which are only found on the 250 GTO. The designers of this car did such an amazing job that the racing success of the car with the help of its high-speed performance has made it a hot collector's item today. Though it won several races, the engine of this car didn't have a big power but rather it had average performance. It had no real race success but still it was able to beat other vehicles in tests.
The powerful V12 engine developed by Pininfarina helped it win the first ever Formula 1 race in 1960. Though production stopped after that year, the legend of the powerful Pininfarina Ferrari 250 GTO lives on. Today, you can find this car for sale in many US Car Dealers or by going online.
