Almost all my life I have been coming to the Zeeland coast in Cadzand-Bad. It is always a pleasure to enjoy lovely beach walks and beautiful sunsets, usually with a nice sea breeze.
The peace, space and colours of the beach and sea in Zeeland really appeal to me.
During these walks, I regularly take out my macro lens to photograph the "structures" of the coastline. This way, it is one big voyage of discovery, because when you photograph from a different perspective very close to the subject, you see so much more than with the naked eye.
Sitting in the sand, for instance, I came across this feather. Normally you walk right past it, but up close you can see its beauty. And if you look closely, you can see the loose grains of sand in those subtle quiet shades of colour.
This makes me happy :-)
In a contemporary, calm and modern interior, this picture gives the right extra dimension of colour and contrast, without drawing too much attention.
This feather deserves a place on the wall, don't you think?
