About the artwork
"Feather (diagonal) with down from a guinea fowl" is a macro photo of a small feather, brown with cream-coloured dots, from a guinea fowl with down attached.
When taking this picture, I chose a shallow depth of field so that a small part is razor-sharp (this point is roughly at the dot in the centre of the feather, and roughly in the middle of the picture). From there, the representation of everything in front of and behind this point becomes blurred. If you zoom in on the work, you can see this. Some bits of down, at the bottom left of the photo, lie in the same plane and are therefore in focus.
A natural image that exudes tranquillity.
