About ‘Fann Mountains Tajikistan’ by Yvonne de Bondt

During my world trip, I travelled through Central Asia for about'10 weeks, with the beautiful Tajikistan as the highlight for me.
From Uzbekistan, I travelled overland first to the north-west of Tajikistan to the particularly beautiful 'Fann Mountains'.

In which I climbed the 3890-metre-high 'Alaudin pass' and on the way there camped in one of the most beautiful places I have ever been next to a crystal lake overlooking the snow-capped mountains. I took this photo on the first evening from my campsite during sunset.

The hike took a total of three full days but through beautiful, pristine landscapes through valleys, snow-capped mountains, crystal blue lakes, forests. We were also joined by the
'donkey man' a friendly man in his late 50s who knew this area like the back of his hand and also showed us the way through the jagged landscape. He had two donkeys with him who carried our camping gear, food, drinks, etc. Fortunately, we had beautiful weather which made this 3-day trek even more special and one to remember. Luckily, I still have the photos's!
