This colourful painting depicts four stylised faces, each with unique Amazigh patterns and symbolism. The figures are placed among geometric shapes, textile motifs and blocks of colour reminiscent of traditional Berber fabrics. The eyes are closed, as if in meditation or inner silence.
Inspiration came from Amazigh culture and its rich imagery. Every symbol and line has meaning: protection, connection, feminine strength. Instead of realistic portraits, I chose abstraction - because identity is more than what you see.
The work exudes tranquillity as well as rhythm. The soft earth tones combine with bright areas, giving the painting both a warm and lively feel. Building in layers, using both brush and palette knife, creates depth and structure.
Made in acrylic on paper, with finished edges and a matt protective layer. Ideal for interiors where colour, culture and story are allowed to come together.
