About the artwork

The painter paints the sympathetic drunkard Sir John Falstaff. The character from William Shakespeare's plays "Henry IV" and "The Merry Wives of Windsor". The artist stages his model as a single figure, depicted with or without the expected drinking vessel, as well as in various, chaotic and funny scenes. What all the works have in common is the painter's love of detail and the subtle comedy of the presentation, which never slips into the grave. Last but not least, this special visual effect is also brought about by the fine painting of the figure, the precise observation of its physiognomy and the tonal choice of colours, which give Grützner's works a touch of the old masters.

Eduard Theodor Grützner, since 1916 Ritter von Grützner (May 26, 1846 in Groß-Karlowitz near Neisse, Silesia, Poland; April 2, 1925 in Munich, Bavaria, Germany) was a German genre painter.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
