There is a large population of fallow deer in the Amsterdam Water Supply Dunes and they are easily approachable. The area is a fine example of Dutch nature, with lots of flora and fauna.
On a sunny autumn morning I made this image: a male fallow deer browsing the ground in search of food. The light falls nicely between the trees, allowing the male to show his spotted back.
Dutch nature can be so wonderfully diverse, especially combined with the seasons. So too the Amsterdam Water Supply Dunes, where forests and open plains alternate with slight undulations.
