The Fallen Creek waterfall is located north of Lake City in Florida. The area in the north of Florida is not a hotspot for international tourism, but that is precisely why it is worth exploring. Here, the Sunshine State is relaxed, without the hustle and bustle of the tourist centres. Instead, you can immerse yourself in normal, authentic America.
The waterfall can be reached via a wooden boardwalk, where you can park for free at the start and visit historic buildings. The waterfall is reached through a dense forest. The special thing about it is the brown colour of the water. The photo was taken on a summer's day and I took a long exposure to show the water to its best advantage.
