About ‘Eyes behind the hat’ by Rüdiger Lutz

In this black-and-white portrait, I have captured a moment that feels both playful and mysterious. The hat conceals much of the face, yet the eyes remain visible and thus stand out all the more. They look directly at the viewer, lending the image a unique tension: open and concealed at the same time. What fascinates me about this subject is the simple gesture. Two hands hold the hat in front of the face like a small mask, without completely concealing the person. This creates a subtle interplay between intimacy, reserve and a delicate touch of humour. The light background does not distract, but allows the gaze, hands and hat to stand out clearly. Upon closer inspection, the small details become apparent: the woven texture of the hat, the fingers at the brim, the fine strands of hair and the delicate lines of the clothing. The image does not speak loudly, but with a single glance. It invites you to look more closely and discover the personality behind the gesture.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
