This photo shows the Accijnstoren in Alkmaar, beautifully located on the Bierkade. The tower is a historic building from the 17th century, built in 1622, and originally served to collect excise duties (taxes) on imported goods.
In the foreground, we can see blurred thistle plants with purple flowers, providing a nice contrast to the sharpness and architecture of the tower in the background. The water of the Noordhollandsch Kanaal or an adjacent canal reflects the daylight, and the blue sky with a few clouds makes for an atmospheric shot with a typically Dutch look.
