Excess Paradise arose from my need to escape for a moment: a garden where everything is just a touch too much-a sea of flowers, apple and citrus trees full of fruit, and a clear stream that carries the light through the landscape. This work is a composite "dreamscape": multiple AI-generated images that I manually composed, cleaned up and painted into one with colour corrections, textures and fine-tuning.
My biggest doubt during the making process? The light. Do I go for an epic, dramatic sky or just that believable afternoon light in which colours glow warmly without being "overcooked". I chose the latter-a sunny glow that makes the flowers glow, the leaves twinkle and gives the whole thing a serene, summery calm.
What gets me about this heavenly garden landscape is the excess that yet remains believable: you can almost feel the warmth, hear the water lapping and smell the sweet scent of ripe fruit. It is a dreamy, picturesque garden landscape (my "dreamscape") that fills your wall with colour and optimism-ideal for those who love nature, romance and a touch of surrealism.
So I combine new tools (AI as a sketch and idea source) with my own gaze and post-processing, to create an image that feels like a place you want to stay for a while.
