About the artwork

In the heart of Meppel, just after sunset, calm descends over the water and the city. The sky turns soft orange and purple, while the last light of the day casts a warm glow over the silhouette of a classic sailing ship and the characteristic Meppel tower.

The water of the canal is perfectly still, reflecting the ship, the historic buildings and the tower with an almost picturesque precision. The wooden mooring posts in the foreground enhance the depth and lead the eye towards the centre of the image, where the ship and tower meet in perfect symmetry.

This shot exudes the quiet charm of evening and captures the moment when the day says goodbye, and the city prepares for night.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
