View from the cove called Les Bassetes towards the blue sea water and towards the Peñón de Ifach Natural Park in Calpe. The rock rises majestically out of the Mediterranean Sea. Warm evening light illuminates the stones and the ambiance on the coast is quite calm just before sunset.
The rock called Peñón de Ifach (Penyal d'Ifac) is the symbol of the coastal town of Calpe and a popular tourist destination on the northern Costa Blanca. From its peak, which is 332 meters above sea level, there is a fantastic view of the Mediterranean Sea and the coast. But there are also interesting perspectives from afar, with the Peñón de Ifach being the eye-catcher.
When walking along the coast in Calpe, the imposing sight of the Peñón de Ifach Natural Park is omnipresent. I also enjoy the meditative effect of the sound of the sea and the waves.
