Looking down from the ramparts of this iron-age Hill Fort across the lush fields, woods and meadows of the Marshwood Vale is one of the finest views to be found in Dorset.
The low evening light accentuates the fields and hedgerows with flashes of bright and varied colours. Tightly woven hedges define the old trackways and paths that have led farmers sheep and cattle to market in the neighbouring town of Bridport.
