About ‘Eurasian Goshawk (Astur gentilis albidus)’ by Tanja van Beuningen
The name is derived from Latin astur, asturis, meaning "hawk".
Seven subspecies are distinguished. Of which this one is one.
The hawk appears in a flash, but disappears just as quickly. It hunts in broad daylight, but prefers to hunt at sunset.
A beautiful, impressive bird.

A 'picture' says more than many words! Hello, my name is Tanja and I am a passionate hobby macro photographer. I love to experiment with light and objects, both outside and in my studio. Mainly I focus on water droplets, feathers, flowers, in other words showing the small in a big way. Besides macro photography I also like to take pictures of animals and nature.
