About "Erfurt - Anger - Tram"

About the artwork

The picture shows a nocturnal scene on the Anger, one of Erfurt's central squares. In the foreground, a tram is travelling through the picture - its movement is made visible as a trail of light by a long exposure. The tracks lead the viewer's gaze into the depths, past illuminated shop windows and a historic building with a clock tower in the background. The composition combines movement and structure, light and architecture.

The Anger is a historically evolved location that has served as a trading centre since the Middle Ages and is now an important transport hub. The mixture of classicist architecture and urban life makes it an exciting subject for city photography.

My inspiration was to contrast the dynamism of modern city traffic with the tranquillity of the architecture at night. The light trail of the tram symbolises the constant flow of urban life, while the buildings embody permanence and history.

The image conveys a sense of movement at a standstill - a moment that radiates both energy and calm. In an interior, it acts as a graphically clear, timeless accent. It is particularly suitable for modern spaces that seek structure, depth and a connection to urban life.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
