Rotterdam's Erasmus Bridge connects the north and south sides of the city across the river Meuse and is named after the Dutch priest Erasmus.
Photographed at night, using a long shutter speed, the waves of the Maas flatten out nicely and the lights of the skyline catch the eye. The long horizontal streak of light, which takes your eye across the photo, is created by the lights of a passing ship.
